A Studio Session is a one-time visit that’s perfect for your first time in the studio or a fun, creative afternoon. It includes:

• 1 lb of clay (enough to make a mug or bowl)

• 1 hour of studio time

• All firing and glazing fees

Your finished piece will be food-safe, microwave-safe, and dishwasher-safe.

Open Studio is best if you’re coming in regularly, making multiple pieces, or want more than an hour in the studio. During Open Studio:

• Time in the studio is priced separately

• Clay is priced separately

• Glazing is priced separately

It’s a flexible option for people who want ongoing studio access instead of a one-time visit.

Open studio access includes the use of our tools, equipment, and workspace during open hours! Clay and firing is paid for separately.

Once your pieces are fired and glazed, they’ll be ready for pickup at the studio. Firing usually takes about 3–4 weeks. We’ll email you when your work is ready, and you can stop by during our regular open hours to pick it up. If you'd like, you can also make an appointment to pick-up your piece which allows us to notify you if our hours change for any reason. Any pieces not picked up within 90 days may be cleared to make room for new work.

Ceramics take time to dry, fire, and glaze safely. Our typical turnaround is about 3–4 weeks from the date of your visit. Timing can vary a bit based on how full the kiln is and the overall studio schedule, so it may be a little faster or slower. We’ll contact you as soon as your piece is finished and ready for pickup. We appreciate your patience! If it has been over 8 weeks since you came in, please send us a message through our contact form.

We offer a variety of workshops for both beginners and experienced ceramic artists. Our selections change monthly, so be sure to keep an eye out for new workshops! The schedule for the upcoming month is released on the 15th of each month. Check our current schedule for upcoming workshops, dates, and availability.

Folks 16 and older can attend workshops on their own! Anyone 15 and under must have a responsible adult with them in the studio at all times. Adults do not need to buy a ticket for class or sign up for an appointment if they are just chaperoning.

Yes! The studio is available for private events such as birthday parties, team outings, and special celebrations. Private events can include dedicated use of the space and guided time at the wheel or hand-building, depending on what you choose. Our studio currently has a 4-inch step at the front entrance, and the bathroom is located in the basement, which may be difficult to access for some visitors. If you have specific accessibility needs or questions, please contact us before your visit and we’ll do our best to accommodate you and discuss options.

Our studio is located at 4052 Chicago Ave. There is free street parking available on the surrounding streets. Please note that the curb directly in front of the studio is a bus stop, so parking is not allowed there, but you’re welcome to pull up briefly to drop guests or supplies off before finding a spot nearby

Because we’re a small studio, last-minute changes really affect our schedule. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us at least 1 hour before your booking. Cancellations or changes made after that window, or no-shows, are non-refundable.

For workshops and private events, different policies may apply. Please check the details in your confirmation email or reach out to us directly with any questions.

Unfortunately, no. Because we legally operate as a for‑profit business, we’re not allowed to have unpaid volunteers or offer work‑trade arrangements. We really appreciate your interest in helping out and supporting the studio, and we hope you’ll join us for classes, workshops, or open studio time instead.

As of 7/2026, we are not looking to hire anyone. We are a very small studio, and are still working on expanding to be able to afford hiring on more folks. We will make an announcement on our instagram when we are ready to!
